> Is this zine physical or digital?Rising Hues will very likely stay digital-only and completely free.> What are the zine specs?This is a SFW only zine, any type of NSFW will NOT be allowed. We are looking up to 5 mods and around 45 artists to join the zine.> Will this zine be only about idols?This zine will involve not only fanmade idols, but bands, soloists and pretty much every musician you can make inside the Splatoon universe. This project does NOT focus on the canon bands or idols.> What type of art will be accepted?We are accepting both traditional and digital art. 3D work will not be present in the zine.> What are we looking for in portfolios?Character-focused artwork and dynamic compositions. Detailed backgrounds are not the main focus, but are still encouraged!> Who are the mascots?Our idols are Gale and Dust, drummer and guitarrist of Tempest, a loud and bold idol duo located in a small region of the Splatlands. requirements

  • Must have a Discord.

  • Traditional art must be scanned at 300 dpi to be included in the zine.

  • Some form of linkable portfolio. ie, DeviantArt, ArtStation, Carrd, Drive, etc.

  • Portfolios must be SFW. Any portfolios including NSFW content will be disregarded.

  • Pieces included in your portfolio must be finished and must represent your style as accurately as possible. We will need at least 3 of your best finished pieces!

  • There will be a heavy emphasis on IDEAS rather than skill on the zine, so get brainstorming! You will be asked for piece ideas in your application.

  • There's no need to have prior zine experience to apply!
